We are a mobile car body paint repair service offering car scratch and dent paintwork repairs all over Manchester and Cheshire. We provide cosmetic car paintwork repair at your home or work place. If you have unsightly bumper scuffs or need alloy wheel refurbishment we have you covered. We need safe parking for our van and to plug into your electric power point.

Before we start work we colour match the vehicle by its paint code, then sand and or fill the damaged area. Primer is applied, then wet flatted and the panel is keyed up. The car is then masked up and degreased prior to painting. Water base colour coat is then sprayed to cover and blended out. Two top coats of fast drying clear coat is then sprayed over and is cured off with infra red lamps. The resprayed area is then wet flatted and machine polished to a high gloss finish.

Car Scratch Repair.

We can repair your car scratches in a few hours. A small scratch to one panel or bumper corner can usualy be repaired in a couple of hours.

With car scratches the thing to take into account is that we are mobile, working outside peoples homes and work places, so there is a limit to how many scratched panels we can take on at any one time. So for instance if the full side of your car has been keyed, then depending on how big your car is and the colour of the vehicle then we might not be able to take it on and you might have to body shop it.

Car Dent Repair.

We can repair your car body dents with smart repair techniques and body shop methods.

We are mobile, we are working in driveways, car parks and on the street. So we can't take on large dents like a body shop can or panels that have structural damage or bent out of shape. If you take the time to look through our gallery photo's, facebook and blog pages you will see some of the dents we repair on a regular basis. This should give you a good idea of the type of dent repairs we are capable of repairing to a high standard. How is a dent repair carried out ? 

Here are the simple steps... 1- before the job is started the car is colour matched and paint mixed onsite. 2 - the dent is pushed and/or pulled out as much as possilble with smart repair tools. 3 - the damaged area is sanded then filled with high quality body filler. 4 - the filler is repaired by hand + using a sander. 5 - the filler is primed with fast drying high build primer. 6 - the primer and whole repair area is wet flatted and keyed up. 7 - the panel is masked up prior to painting. 8 - the panel is degreased using panel wipe degreaser. 9 - the colour basecoat is spayed on 6-10 coats and dried. 10 - two coats of anti-scratch clear coat lacquer is sprayed on and dried. 11 - once cured the lacquer is wet flatted and machine buffed up to a high gloss finish.

Alloy Repairs.

We can repair your scratched and scuffed alloys (excluding diamond cut)

Welcome to the alloy repair section. We can repair scratches and scuff's to standard silver alloy's and light chipping around the edges. But if there are chunks taken out of the rim then you will probably need an alloy repair specialist who can remove the wheel and tyre, repair it, paint it and refit. Our alloy repairs are cosmetic only, we only repair the 'face' of the alloy not cracked or split rimmed. 

Bumper Scuff Repair.

Bumper scuffs are very common and we specialise in this type of damage.

Being in the smart repair business for over ten years, here at smart repairs northwest our experience is that bumper scuffs are the most common form of damage that people contact us about, because they are the most unsightly and easiest type of damage to pick up. If you have a lease car and send it back with bumper scuffs you will usually be charged a main dealer body shop price for each scuffed corner. Or maybe you are looking to sell, part ex or want your pride and joy looking the part again.
